BOARD MEMBERS

AARON COPEMAN
Aaron Copeman is the proud father of Christian Copeman. He misses Christian dearly but is excited for the day that they are reunited in heaven.
Aaron has worked at ADP for thirty years and is currently Vice President – Client Services.
Outside of work, Aaron is heavily involved in his church, Christian Faith Fellowship Church (CFFC) in Franklin, NJ.
He serves as an Usher and also works in the NextGen youth ministry.
In global service, Aaron has led and served on short-term mission teams across the globe on behalf of Doulos Global Ministries and CFFC. He currently sits on the board of Doulos Global Ministries.
Aaron currently resides in NJ with his wife Patches and his son, Jake.
Taylor, Aaron and Patches’ daughter lives in NJ with her husband Nicholas Platt. The whole family is humbled by the opportunity to bless seniors of Kittatinny High School with scholarships in memory of Christian.

JOSHUA REED
Joshua Reed is an enthusiastic educator and coach at Kittatinny Regional High School. He has been an educator for 14 years in the areas of Special Education and Mathematics.
Joshua has also been the Girls’ Head Basketball Coach for 8 seasons and an assistant on both the boys and girls Varsity Tennis teams. Despite his passion for Kittatinny Regional High School, his true foundation is his family.
As a father to his six year old son, Hudson, and a husband to his wonderful wife, Nichole, he feels incredibly blessed and grateful each and every day.
Before coaching the Girls’ Basketball team, Joshua was an assistant in the Boys Basketball program where he had the honor and privilege to coach Christian. Joshua’s daily effort and motivation to help so many has undoubtedly been inspired by the impact that Christian had on everyone who surrounded him.
Christian’s determination, enthusiasm, and spirit were unmatched and Joshua is humbled and honored to continually be a part of the Christian Copeman Memorial Scholarship Board as it has and continues to help so many students as they embark on their dreams.

DAVID MAKAREVICH
Dave has been in construction as a Contractor for more than thirty years and he has helped so many families and businesses bring their interior or exterior dreams to life.
Dave and his wife Elaine have lived in Stillwater for over thirty years and that is where they raised their two children, Jennifer and Andrew.
Over the years, Dave’s love for kids and sports shined as he coached; football, basketball softball and baseball. He also volunteers at a food pantry and he loves giving back to the community.
Dave has been involved with Christian’s memorial scholarship since its beginning.

Laurie Sanders
Laurie Sanders is an elementary teacher at Fredon Elementary School. She has devoted 21 years to her teaching career.
As a teacher, she is committed to creating a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Outside of being a teacher she spends the rest of her time with friends and family. She has three grandchildren in which she spends her time swimming, hiking, fishing, and all the things young kids love to do.
Laurie has been a part of the Christian Copeman Scholarship Board for many years. She has been close to the Copeman family since having Christian as a student when he was in sixth grade.
As an educator, she understands the importance of pursuing dreams and the education that is needed to succeed in those goals.
Contributing to the scholarship fund offers the graduates an opportunity to further their education to be the best they can be.

STEVE GUARINO
Steve Guarino is a results-oriented sales and marketing entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in the managed care industry.
As the Senior Vice President of Amwins, he is responsible for Sales nationally.
While very busy with his national role, Steve’s real passion is his family and giving back to the community.
He is the father of 4 boys, is happily married and is blessed with 3 grandchildren. He has participated in the Big Brother program, various church organizations and after 6 years of involvement, has joined Christian’s Memorial Scholarship Board as Vice President.
As someone who grew up with very little, Steve is well aware of how a scholarship to college or a trade school, regardless of the amount, can change the trajectory of a young person’s life.

PATCHES COPEMAN
Patches has always loved working with children and has worked with them in different capacities. She’s worked in the elementary school that Christian, Taylor and Jake attended, worked in child daycare and volunteered in the church nursery. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and crafting.
